What You’ll Do:
Assess, plan, and provide preventive dental hygiene care, including scaling, root planing, polishing, fluoride application, sealants, and whitening
Educate patients on oral health, prevention techniques, and best practices
Deliver consistent, positive, and personalized hygiene appointments
Build strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical and professional standards
Communicate with empathy and actively listen to patient concerns
What We’re Looking For:
Completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree
Registration in good standing with the provincial regulatory body
Valid CPR certification
A patient-centered mindset and strong communication skills
Flexibility, adaptability, and a team-oriented attitude
Dental hygiene students are also welcome to apply and gain valuable clinical experience.

Vos responsabilités :
Évaluer, planifier et offrir des soins d’hygiène dentaire préventive : détartrage, surfaçage radiculaire, polissage, application de fluorure, scellants et blanchiment
Agir à titre d’éducateur(trice) en santé bucco-dentaire auprès des patients
Offrir des visites d’hygiène personnalisées, positives et cohérentes
Développer des relations de confiance avec les patients dans le respect des normes professionnelles et éthiques
Faire preuve d’écoute, d’empathie et d’une communication efficace
Profil recherché :
Diplôme en hygiène dentaire
Inscription valide et en règle auprès de l’ordre ou de l’organisme de réglementation provincial
Certification RCR valide

Dental Assistant – Clinical & Administrative Support
Perth-Andover Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our professional and patient-focused team. This position combines clinical dental assisting with administrative responsibilities, with approximately 1 to 2 days per week dedicated to administrative duties.
The successful candidate will support the dental team in providing exceptional patient care while also contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the practice.
Responsibilities
Clinical responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments for procedures.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments.
- Sterilize and maintain instruments in accordance with established protocols.
- Welcome patients and help ensure a positive and comfortable experience.
- Accurately update and maintain patient records.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering clinical supplies.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and infection control standards and clinic policies.
Administrative responsibilities
- Support the administrative team with various daily office tasks.
- Welcome and assist patients at the reception desk as needed.
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Process payments and assist with billing and administrative follow-up.
- Maintain accurate patient information and records.
- Provide general administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.
Qualifications
- Dental Assistant diploma or recognized training.
- Valid certification and/or license to practice, as required by provincial regulations.
- Valid HARP certification (required)
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable performing both clinical and administrative duties.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous dental clinic experience is considered an asset.

Perth-Andover Dental est à la recherche d’un.e assistant.e dentaire dynamique et professionnel.le pour se joindre à son équipe. Ce poste combine des tâches d’assistance dentaire et des responsabilités administratives, avec environ 1 à 2 journées par semaine consacrées aux tâches administratives.
La personne recherchée contribuera à offrir une expérience positive aux patients tout en soutenant l’équipe dentaire et en participant au bon fonctionnement de la clinique.
Responsabilités
Volet clinique
- Préparer les salles de traitement et le matériel nécessaire aux interventions.
- Assister le dentiste pendant les examens et les traitements.
- Assurer la stérilisation et l’entretien des instruments conformément aux protocoles en vigueur.
- Accueillir les patients et contribuer à leur confort tout au long de leur visite.
- Mettre à jour les dossiers des patients avec précision.
- Participer à la gestion de l’inventaire et à la commande des fournitures cliniques.
- Respecter les normes de santé et de sécurité ainsi que les protocoles de contrôle des infections.
Volet administratif
- Soutenir l’équipe administrative dans les différentes tâches quotidiennes.
- Accueillir les patients à la réception au besoin.
- Répondre aux appels téléphoniques et aux demandes des patients.
- Planifier et confirmer les rendez-vous.
- Effectuer les paiements et contribuer à la facturation et aux suivis administratifs.
- Maintenir les renseignements et dossiers des patients à jour.
- Effectuer diverses tâches administratives afin d’assurer le bon fonctionnement de la clinique.
Exigences
- Diplôme ou formation reconnue en assistance dentaire.
- Certification ou permis d’exercice valide, selon les exigences provinciales.
- Certification HARP valide (obligatoire)
- Excellentes aptitudes en communication et en service à la clientèle.
- Sens de l’organisation, rigueur et souci du détail.
- À l’aise d’effectuer des tâches à la fois cliniques et administratives.
- Capacité à travailler efficacement dans un environnement dynamique.
- Expérience en clinique dentaire, un atout.
